Day in LIC Hotel
We had an absolutely fantastic stay! The location is super convenient—just a short walk to the metro, and it only takes about 20 minutes to get to Manhattan (there are nice places to eat and shops in walking distance). The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. The hotel offers laundry facilities and complimentary tea, coffee, and bagels in the lobby throughout the day. There’s also an ice maker (though we didn’t use it) and a fridge in the room with a bottle of water. Breakfast was great! They had a nice variety, including orange and apple juice, tea, coffee, scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, French toast, regular toast, bagels, cereals, jams, Nutella, fresh fruit, and maple syrup. Plenty of options to start the day! The rooftop terrace has a breathtaking city view, and some rooms do as well. The beds were really comfortable, and honestly, we have nothing to complain about. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Staff were friendly and professional. We were particularly grateful to be offered an early check in when we went to leave our bags. The rooftop area was a bonus and we intended to take a drink up there but ended up exhausted from sight seeing every day. Coffee and bagels were available downstairs. The subway (Court Square) was convenient and close - although there are two stations (above and below ground, 100 yards apart) which confused us initially. On the walk back to the hotel we stopped at 'Bonjour Food Market' which did excellent rolls and sandwiches. No alcohol there but cold beer was available at the AI Mart a few doors away. The area felt safe and we felt that the hotel was good value for money compared with the other NYC prices. Breakfast was fine.

- really good location: it's in Queens but you're only a few stops from any of the major attractions in Manhattan. Subway station just down the street. It's a relatively quiet neighborhood with not much nearby except a Target but that was fine for us. - helpful staff but not overly friendly but we get it, it's NYC. - breakfast was fine for us. No complaints. Don't expect a huge variety. Just simple toast, eggs, pancakes, bacon, and coffee. Enough to start the day. - our room was basic with some parts looking old and worn, but decently sized with a comfortable bed. It was cleaned daily so overall no complaints. - rooftop had a nice view of the city. Would be nicer in the summer.

The location is excellent. The subway is just three minutes away from the hotel and only one station away from Manhattan. It was very easy to arrive anywhere. It felt like a safe neighbourhood, nothing weird or dangerous, but also we did not get out very late at night. The view over Manhattan is really amazing. It looks exactly like the intro from Gossip Girl 😬. I feel like in the summer its even nice to spend some time on the terrace (we went on nye). Also dont expect to see any fireworks from the terrace, even though there were many people gathered there for them, there were none, only some confetti in times square.

Location is perfect. Cleanliness is TOP. Bed is okay. The breakfast was decent but the same every day. The choice of dishes included scrambled eggs (made from real eggs), boiled egg, potato salad, hamburger meat or fried bacon, cheese spread, butter, Nutella, American pancakes, maple syrup, several types of jam, apple and orange juices, coffee with additives, tea, milk, breakfast cereals, bagels, bread, and toast. The breakfast is okay but gets boring very quickly. Considering the price of the hotel, the breakfast is okay.
